In 2018 and 2019 the team changed its perspective. They abandoned the combustion engine and started right away with a completely new project: design and produce the first Unipr Racing Team electric car. It was hard and required a great effort from each member. They car was very different from the past ones. The changing started from the power train department, but every branch wanted to improve and create something new. The aerodynamics devices were completely redesigned to maximize downforce, especially in the front end of the vehicle. The tubular chassis was abandoned in favour of a monocoque, which gave higher resistance and mechanical stiffness.
The car was ready to race in Formula SAE Italy on July 2019. Unfortunately, the day before the race took place, they have serious technical problems so they could not participate on the dynamics events.
